Where is the venue?
HMC Adelaide is to be held at Wirrina Cove Holiday Park, just over an hours drive from Adelaide city.
Wirrina Cove Holiday Park is located on Paradise Drive at Wirrina Cove, South Australia 5204 (8 minutes South of Normanville towards Kangaroo Island).

Please bring the following:

Tents are included and are pre set up ONLY if you have the "Glamping upgrade", if not....you need to set up your own accommodation. Camper vans are fine, you will be in a seperate area to the tent camp ground. No sleeping in cars, or back of utes in the carpark.

Bedding;. A roll up mattress and pillow or swag. Glamping tents floor size is 2100x2100. Glampers will also need to bring their own mattress, pillow and bedding (only a pre-set up tent is included in the package)

Everyone, including glampers needs to bring their own LOW CHAIR for in front of the cinema! (not a standard size camp chair). If you bring a normal size camp/outdoor chair, you will have to sit at the back of the amphitheatre- DON'T say we didn't warn you!

Warm clothes, there are NO PASS OUTS back to the campground once inside the event, please make sure you have warm clothes/blankets for later in the night!

Your ticket, please check in with all attendees on your ticket. Tickets need to be printed for scanning, showing a ticket on your phone will not be accepted.

What do I do with my cinema seating etc on arrival?
On arrival, reserve your viewing space in front of the cinema/bands with your seating etc to create a base for the evening ahead. Then feel free to leave it there and wander the event. HMC patrons are respectful to others, and will not move or tamper with other peoples belongings.
If you have blow up seating, please make sure it is inflated before you enter the event, or you have an air pump. There is no facilities to inflate your seating in the event.
What time do I arrive and leave the next day?
Entry to the car park and campsite it from 2.30pm on Saturday the 29th of October
The event gates open at 4pm, so get there early to set up your camp for the night. The campground will be monitored by security throughout the night, however please do not leave any valuables in your tent.
Please print your tickets, and if purchased in the same transaction check in together to save confusion.
If you have purchased the Glamping upgrade and you would like a tent near your mates, please all check in at the same time.
Event check in will close at 7.30pm, please ensure you arrive before this time to exchange your ticket for a wristband, otherwise you will not be able to enter the event.
The next morning all campers must check out of the campsite by 10.30am, there will be breaky and hot coffee available in the morning from 7.30am to enjoy on the drive home!
Once I have entered the event, can I go back to my campsite to grab a jumper/money/etc?
No, there are no passouts back to the campground once you have entered the event! Please make sure you are prepared with warm comfortable clothing and everything you will need for the night. Once you exit the event, you will be unable to get back in....wristbands will be removed by security on event exit.
Is first aid available?
Yes. Please ask Security, Event staff or First Aid officers for help. There will be a first aid service attending every event. Please consider others as well as your own safety. If someone is in need of medical attention please let Security, Event staff or First Aid know so they can help.
What happens if it is raining or extreme weather conditions are forecasted?
The Horror movie campout is an outdoor event and will proceed rain, hail or shine. That being said the chance of rain at any HMC event is slim :) The event will proceed regardless of the weather and no refunds will be given unless the event is postponed at the promoter's discretion. In the unlikely case the event is postponed due to total fire ban or extreme weather conditions an email will be sent to the ticket purchaser and it will also be posted on the Facebook page.
Where do I park my car and can I access it throughout the night?
Cars will be parked in the car park a short walk to the camp ground. Please carpool with your fellow campers, we love to do our bit for the environment. There will be no pass outs from the event back to the camp ground/car park throughout the event, once you exit the event back to the campground at the end of the night, you will be able to access your vehicle. So please make sure you have everything out you need in the event. There will be security monitoring the car park, but please do not leave any valuables in your tent or car.
Can I bring Food and Drinks into the Horror Movie Campout?
Strictly NO BYO ALCOHOL into the event or campsite. HMC is a licenced event and alcoholic beverages can be purchased from the bar between 4pm and 1am.
Non alcoholic drinks including juice, soft drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks are also prohibited to enter the event (the only exception is sealed plastic bottled water)
Feel free to bring your own food, however there will be food vendors on site, providing a range of delicious hot dinner options including vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options. There will also be sweets and snacks available late into the night . Hot coffee, tea and chocolate will be available.
No cookers or gas bbq's are allowed. No esky's allowed into the event, cooler bags are ok.
So, what is on the menu?
There will be a range of hot dinner, sweets and snack menu options available including: Baked potatoes (with delicious toppings), yiros's, burger's, gourmet hot dogs and German Floaters, hot chips (and gravy!). Mrs Bates will be serving up hot jam donuts, popcorn, chips, choc bars and treats in the candy bar...
The bar will be serving up “Horror Juice” and other Halloween specials for the daring, and then the classics: beer, cider, white/red wine and the good old bundy and bourbon cans! Until 1am.
In the morning from 7.30am there will be breaky and hot drinks available, check out is by 10.30am
When will the movies start?
Movies will start once dark (approx 9pm), in the meantime sit back, relax, enjoy the bands, partake in the horror activities and ambiance!

Is there power and running water available?
There will be no power available, make sure your phone and camera are charged before you arrive. There will be scare actors walking around the camp and some great photo (Selfie) opportunities, be sure to #hmcads #horrormoviecampout
There are no shower facilities at the HMC, however toilets will be provided. It’s a good idea to bring some bottled water to keep you hydrated over night - unopened bottled water is allowed into the event. There will be free drinking water in the event to fill up your bottle.
Can I smoke cigarettes at the event?
Sure, smoking is allowed just not in the cinema and food areas. Please respect others and keep butts in the bins provided.
Is there phone coverage in case I need to ring my mummy?
Yes, don't stress, there is mobile phone coverage.
Can I dress up?
YES, seriously if you don't you will be dissapointed! Campers that make an effort to dress up, will have the chance to win a double pass to the new release horror movie "Ouija". Check out the albums on the HMC Facebook page for costume inspiration from prior events.
